The political commune of Sigriswil covers the largest area - 55 km2 - of any in the district of Thun. The commune includes 11 villages including, of course, Sigriswil.
The lowest point of the diverse area is the lake at 560 metres above sea level, and the highest is the Sigriswiler Rothorn mountain at 2,050m. Hotels and restaurants dominate the lakeside and lower levels of the commune while the upper parts are mostly set aside for farming and forestry.
